Polar Plunge

At 1:00 today Oliver and I put on our warm coats, hats and mittens and Davis and Elizabeth stripped down to their bathing suits and we headed to Plum Island for the Polar Plunge. Yes, Davis and Elizabeth went swimming in 30 degree water.

While Elizabeth was "smart" and jumped in and ran out, Davis not only swam about for a bit, he also went in again when his friend Andrew showed up to swim, several minutes after the group had done their initial plunge into the icy water. Davis and Andrew even decided to take advantage of the waves and do some body surfing.



In all about 15 crazy people went for a swim in the icy ocean today.
